The Truth in Taxation Meeting, 6 PM, Tuesday Aug 11

Toquerville City is prepared to pass a 30.3% property tax hike. To be fair, this is not a 30% increase of your entire tax bill- just the Toquerville portion.

The law requires the council to have a public meeting. This is the part where the council pretends to listen to citizens and then moves ahead with the tax hike.

This meeting allows you the opportunity to speak. It will also allow us to find you and begin a referendum to force the tax hike to a vote. We need 5 sponsors and something on the order of 250 registered voters to sign a petition- so we hope to see you there!
